All I can say is Baltimore has the best ads ever. Today there was one for having balls: get tested. For HIV that is. I told Aaron I've seen advertisements before, but none like this. Then I thought is HIV a huge problem in Baltimore? The other ad was advertising for air alerts. Is air not breathable here? Am I going to die? I was a little confused.
The bus took us all the way to fort McHenry, which was pretty cool. We walked through the fort. We even set up the pic timer to take nice pics going into the park of us. They came out good though it kind of looks like Aaron's hand Is going up my dress. Lol those will go on FB at the end of summer. (If you read this blog and have FB, but we are not friends, we will have to become so you can see all the pics!)
After the fort, we hopped on the free bus to go to an art museum I wanted to go to-- the Walters art museum. I figured it was free and the Baltimore museum of art was way out of downtown. Well apparently-- and I have nothing against this-- there was a gay pride parade in town. So the bus couldn't finish the route. You would think the world was ending w how ppl reacted. We got off and just started walking. Looking back, I am super Happy we got off. We found a Midtown BBQ and brew place. Their food was amazing. It wound up being the only full meal I ate yesterday bc it was so big.
We then walked through the festivities-- some fierce outfits were there (see show picture below)--to the museum. The museum was free!! and amazing. The interior main area was made of Italian marble. I could've spent more hours in there but after about 90 mins of walking through we just wanted to go sit. I did see a beautiful painting of the colosseum in Rome and thought Next year!!!!!
We made our way to a place called Brewers Art. I liked their kolsch called Nein, but did not like their pale ale. Aaron had their brown and something else. He liked them both.
So now we take the free bus back to the main strip. And a couple stops after we get on this creepy guy gets on. He had a small liquor bottle in his hand, his shirt is all cut up, and his hair is ridiculous. And man is he staring at me. As Aaron said: "He was staring at your real hard" and proceeded to give me a demonstration bc even when the guy would put his head down he would peek up at me. Was really creeping me out. Then these wannabe gangsters got on. Loud and obnoxious. Well they scared the creeper so much he rushed off. Aaron thinks he was drunk. I think he was mentally ill. But after those "gangsters" kept going on and on I could not wait to get off. They didn't bother us, but they were so annoying. When we finally got off at our stop, I said those guys are the reason that free transportation sucks. However, I was happy they scared the weird guy off.
We finished the night at Platt St brewing. I had their blonde again and Aaron had idk what beers. Lol a brown and something else. While we were there we met four ppl-- two older couples. Three of them were retired teachers and one was a chemist. We chatted w them about beer, education and travel. The two men were doing the Vermont brewery challenge too. They hit 8 breweries in one day!!! My role models. :)

I love how u tell a story. Lol im glad the gangsters scared away the creeper.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm the ads are ridiculous! Seriously...a HIV test advertisement? Are you kidding me Baltimore???? Well...at least they are encouraging people to get tested rather than spread the disease so on some level it's a good thing? WTF? Did I just say that? Moving on...love the costume photo on the bus...wish we could have seen the whole kit and kaboodle but I get why you just photographed the shoe. And honestly, that was plenty:)! hahaha. I am in loooooove with the park photos!!! So glad you're having such a great time and getting to see so much! XO
